The CSMA Club Big Weekend is back and it’s bigger, faster and louder than ever! There is a dazzling array of amazing activities to enjoy from only £7.50 per person for a Saturday Day Ticket, or £38 for a family weekend ticket. 

The Big Weekend is back for its third year for the ultimate Summer party and featuring more wheels and louder squeals!

Celebrating its 100th birthday Thruxton Motor Circuit will be alive with activity for the whole family. Catch the widest range of motorsport racing activity all on one track featuring Classic Bikes, Touring Cars, Pro Karts and Minis.

CSMA Club Jazz & Ale Tent

This exclusive venue for CSMA Club members returns with a fine selection of local ales and ciders. while listening to a range of jazz DJs and excellent live music on the Saturday evening.

The CSMA Club exclusive ale tent literally kicks off on Friday night for a hoe down and hog roast (hog roast additional) learn the moves and dance the night away before a weekend of fantastic entertainment begins both on and off the track!' For those camping or wishing to stay on a little longer the Ale tent will stay open until 11pm on Saturday night with live jump jive swing, rockin’
rhythm and blues!

Family entertainment

Experience a range of family entertainment for the whole family FREE for members. A two day festival of fun for all the family, featuring live music, interactive workshops, funfair and lots more.

There is plenty of action for the whole family to enjoy too, from funfair rides and radio controlled car time trials, to face painting, balloon modelling and circus skills. All  absolutely FREE for CSMA Club members! Also for the member who books the Big Weekend tickets will also get vouchers for 1 karting session, 1 4x4 sessions and 1 child karting session (subject to availability at the event) at no extra charge.

Classic Vehicle Rally

The Cotswold Motoring Museum and the CSMA Club Classic Vehicle Group are hosting a mouth watering display of classic vehicles ranging from pre-war to post-war classics and modern rally vehicles. Meet the drivers, become a friend of the museum and find out what classic vehicle activities are taking place near you. For displaying your vehicle we will provide you with: Complimentary weekend tickets to the event for both yourself and a passenger, free access to the CSMA Club members area with exclusive viewing platforms subsidised bar and private toilets and 24 hour security to ensure the safety of all display vehicles.

Camping & Camping Rally

Make a weekend of it and stay close to the action with the onsite Camping & Caravanning rally. You can stay for four nights, checking in from 1pm on Thursday 16th August and leaving by 1pm on Monday 20th August. Pitches cost just £10 per unit per night. Come and meet the CSMA Club Camping & Caravanning Group and see what events are happening in your area.

This August, Thruxton Motor Circuit celebrates its 100^th birthday by offering you the rare opportunity to view your favourite high speed vehicles all in one place over on track!

This CSMA Club debut presents a programme of classic cars, bikes and even karts racing wheel to wheel, back to back and bumper to bumper only at the Big Weekend 2012!

Lansdowne Classic Motorcycle Series

For those of you who prefer your racing on two wheels, then don’t miss the sound, speed and exhilaration of these 500cc machines tearing up the track as they tear across the fastest motor circuit in the UK! This is a rare opportunity to view some historic grand prix motorcycle racing in action as they compete for the title of the Lansdowne Motorcycle Cup!

 MSA 250cc Pro Long Circuit Karts!
Prepare for thrills, spills and spin outs as the Pro Long Circuit karts hit the track!  This is where motorsport stars begin their careers and this Big Weekend premiere gives you the rare opportunity to watch as these  250cc karts hurtle around Thruxton Circuit just inches from the floor! Don’t miss this exhilarating, must see race!

Mini Se7en Championships
Mini cars! Maxi thrills! Adding speed, excitement and a dash of colour to your weekend we will also be hosting the mini se7en championships. Boasting huge grids of race cars, TheMiniSe7en'soffer challenging pace and performance, guaranteed to give you a large amount of overtaking and a even greater amount of fun!

Historic & Classic Touring Car ChampionshipS
A weekend highlight and one of the golden eras of touring cars is set to return to the Big Weekend, bringing back the very best of touring car racing from 1974 – 1993. Watch your favourite cars battling for supremacy around the track, from classic touring cars and post historic touring cars to pre 93 and group touring cars.

Drivers paddock
Admission to the Big Weekend also includes access to the driver’s paddock where you can see the teams preparing their vehicles. This is a great chance to get up and close with the cars, meet the drivers and see what happens behind the scenes at a racing championship finale!

Karting Sessions

Having seen the gripping action on track and think you might be able to do better? CSMA Club will be running FREE 15 minute sessions exclusive to CSMA Club members (public price £17) on both the cadet and adult tracks. Test your karting skills at Thruxton’s 1,100m outdoor track and drive the 13bph Thunderkarts up to speeds of 60 mph! So why not sign up on the day and book in a time slot? You can also meet the CSMA Club Karting Group and see if you can better their fastest lap time.

4x4 Sessions

Discover off-road driving in our FREE, 4x4 sessions for CSMA Club members. Thruxton 4x4 instructors will drive you over the rugged dips and hills and give you a taste for driving off-road.  If you own a 4x4,  come and meet the CSMA Club 4x4 Group and see if there are any activities taking place near you! Times for Karting and 4x4 sessions will be allocated on receipt of your ticket booking.
