Lift your feet off the ground this summer!
Based at East Fortune, a historic military airfield 18 miles east of Edinburgh, this annual event is attended by around 10,000 visitors.
Always a hit with families and airshow enthusiasts alike, the event features breath-taking air displays from historic aircraft, to high-octane aerobatics!
Aerial antics
The museum itself is home to a number of exhibitions and attractions on the ground so there are lots to see and do on the ground as well as in the air! Discover the past of the East Fortune Airfield, travel back in time with the Jet Age exhibition or walk in the footsteps of the famous and step aboard one of Britain’s most iconic planes: Concorde. With over 50 aircraft on the ground there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained for the day.
The real highlight of the air show has to be the breathtaking high octane aerial displays ranging from historic war birds to military jets.

Directions
By Road:
From Edinburgh: follow the A1 south exit at Abbotsview Junction. Take second exit from roundabout onto A199 for East Linton. After approximately 2.5 miles, turn left onto B1347 and follow the signs for the National Museum of Flight.
From the south: follow the A1 north to Thistlycross Roundabout. Take second exit to East Linton. At Beltonford Roundabout take second exit onto A199 for East Linton. After approximately 6 miles, turn right onto B1347 and follow the signs for the National Museum of Flight.
Parking
Parking is clearly sign posted and marshals are on hand to direct traffic onto the airfield. Parking is controlled with those arriving first parking nearest the entrance, so please be aware that there may be some walking from a vehicle to the entrance.
Parking on the day costs £4 per vehicle – CSMA Club members do not have to pay this fee.
By Rail:
First Scotrail run regular services from Edinburgh to North Berwick.
Bus Service:
The Museum is serviced by First Bus service no. 121, running between Haddington and North Berwick and from 4 July to 16 August 2011 service no.111 running between North Berwick and National Museum of Flight.
Regular bus services run from Edinburgh to North Berwick, and an express bus service from Edinburgh to Haddington. Call Traveline on 0870 608 2 608 for timetable details.

FAQs
1. Do I need to bring my membership card? It is advised all members carry their CSMA Club Card on the day and bring their booking confirmation
2. Is my ticket valid on a specific date, or for one day if the event runs through multiple dates? The ticket will only be available for the requested day.
3. Are pets allowed at the event? All pets are prohibited from entering the site. Guide dogs are permitted onsite
4. Tickets: Tickets are ONLY available in advance through CSMA Club. A letter of confirmation will be sent within a week after booking, with tickets being sent about two weeks prior to the event taking place. Members must present their tickets upon arrival and must have the relevant parking details displayed.
5. Disabled Access Disabled parking is available for blue badge holders near the entrance. Transport is available to assist disabled people to a viewing area. Visitors with disabilities have access to all hangars and the Airfield Explorer, however due to the historic nature of our collection some of the aircraft are not accessible to everyone.
There are ramped access areas into all our hangars and our Airfield Explorer on-site transportation. Adapted toilets with baby-changing are available. Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted, but with low flying aircraft overhead caution should be taken.
