International Air Show is the largest of all RAF air shows. Attended
by over 140,000 visitors, the Air Show has grown in size, excitement
and popularity; offering a truly unforgettable day out for the whole family!

More than just an Air Show!

Waddington’s spectacular Air Show features a 6-hour flying display with an extensive range of aerial antics and excitement for the whole family to enjoy!

 2012 celebrates The Year of Lincolnshire Aviation, 100 years of the Central Flying School and ISTAR capability of the Royal Air Force.

Aerial Highlights include the fabulous Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the RAF Falcons freefall parachute team and many more military and civilian aircraft from the UK and around the world.

There is entertainment closer to the ground too including two exhibition hangars with hands-on exhibits from all three Armed Forces.

Fancy taking to the sky yourself? Then hop on board a helicopter pleasure
flight and take to the sky yourself for a magnificent bird's eye view of the Air Show!

Running alongside the thrilling flying action, visitors can also look forward to non-stop
family fun too including a range of ground displays, over 250 trade stalls, craft marquees,
a traditional funfair, classic cars & vintage military vehicles!

Classic Vehicle Rally

Head on down to the classic vehicle rally, as the CSMA Club Classic Vehicle Group are hosting a mouth watering display of classic vehicles ranging from pre-war to post-war classics and modern rally vehicles. Meet the drivers and find out what classic vehicle activities are taking place near you. For displaying your vehicle we will provide you with: Complimentary weekend tickets to the event for both yourself and a passenger with free access to the CSMA Club members area.

Make a weekend of it!

With so much to see and do at this year’s event,  why not make a weekend of it with our camping, caravanning and hotel breaks? They are great fun and the perfect way to make sure you don’t miss a second of the on track action!

Social Group hotel break
29 June – 1 July

Stay close to all the action and enjoy a two night break at the Hilton East Midlands with the CSMA Club Social Group!

For just £198 per couple you can enjoy for two nights, with bed and breakfast and dinner on both nights. Also included in the price is a Welcome Drink Reception, free parking and use of the leisure facilities. There is an additional £20 per night supplement for single occupancy bookings. Child rates are based per child per night sharing with two adults. Admission tickets are not included and need to be purchased separately.

Getting there

The Hilton East Midlands Airport hotel is located just 2 miles from East Midlands Airport with Nottingham and Derby both 12 miles away. The nearest conference centre is East Midlands Conference Centre and Alton Towers is 45 minutes' drive away.

If you are arriving by car and using a sat nav then please enter the post code DE74 2SL and look out for the brown Hotel signs The hotel is approximately 1 hour drive from RAF Waddington.

FAQs

1. Do I need to bring my membership card? It is advised all members carry their CSMA Club Card on the day and bring their booking confirmation

2. Will lanyards be provided? CSMA Club identification (lanyards) will be available to members to pick up when they arrive at the CSMA Club members area. The identification will be required to gain access to the CSMA Club area and take part in 4x4 and karting experiences

3. Is my ticket valid on a specific date, or for one day if the event runs through multiple dates? The ticket will only be available for the requested day.

4. Are pets allowed at the event? All pets are prohibited from entering the site. Guide dogs are permitted onsite

5. Can I access all areas of the event, or just the CSMA Club area(s)? Members can access all the public areas of the event and the CSMA Club Exclusive members marquee.

6. Can I also buy Grandstand seats through CSMA Club? Grandstand tickets are available for some events. Please see "Ticket options" for further details.

7. Help! My tickets haven’t arrived! When members book their tickets they will receive a letter within 3 weeks confirming their ticket order. (If ordering online they will receive this letter and a confirmation email) The confirmation letter will confirm their booking details and expected ticket delivery date.

8. Are Picnics and BBQ’s allowed at the event? The venue will allow the public to bring picnics and packed lunches inside the event fence. Those on the Camping and Caravanning rally will be permitted to have BBQ’s as long as the grass is not damaged and the coals are discarded of once they have cooled down. CSMA Club members can drop off their picnic baskets at the members area.
