Every vehicle in the UK that three years old or more requires a valid MOT certificate by law. Tests need to be carried out every year to ensure vehicles comply with road safety and environmental standards. Your MOT certificate confirms that your vehicle passed certain standards at the time of the test.

All garages in the NSN network are approved by the Government appointed Vehicle Operator Services Agency (VOSA) and MOT’s are carried out by qualified testers.

An MOT isn’t a substitute for carrying out regular maintenance, so it is important to keep a good service history too. It’s cheaper for NSN to carry out a Service and MOT at the same time – so in turn they can make it cheaper for you.

An interim service with NSN costs from just £78

An Interim Service is recommended for drivers who clock up higher millage than average in order to ensure vehicle safety and reliability in between your 12 month full service.
The Interim Service is recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles and will help you to identify any areas of wear and tear on your vehicle and identify any problems or faults that may occur.

What’s included

• 35 point service

• The main moving parts that may need attention over a short period of time.

• All of the lights are checked for operation.

• Road wheels are removed to carry out a thorough inspection of the braking system.

• Brakes are adjusted if required

• Wheel bearings are checked for wear.

• Exhaust system is inspected.

• Oil and Filter replaced.

• Under bonnet fluid levels are checked and topped up as required.

•  Tyre condition is checked and all pressures adjusted as required.

• Vehicle will also be road tested and you will receive a full condition report.

A Full Service is a comprehensive series of safety checks designed to ensure that your car performs to its peak efficiency. This should be carried out every 12,000 miles or 12 months to keep your vehicle in good working order.
NSN provide a very comprehensive Full Service with 67 individual checks.

A Full Service with NSN costs from just £118

What’s included

• The main moving parts are checked as they may need attention
• All of the lights are checked for operation
• Road wheels are removed to carry out a thorough inspection of the braking system
• Brakes are also adjusted if required
• Tyre condition is checked and all pressures adjusted as required
• Wheels are also checked for correct balance
• Steering and suspension is checked for wear and condition
• Wheel bearings are checked for wear
• Exhaust system is inspected
• Underside of the vehicle is checked
• Oil and Filter are replaced
• Air filter is replaced
• Pollen filter (if fitted) is removed and checked
• All under bonnet levels are checked and topped up as required
• Service light will be reset subject to tooling

A Major Service with NSN provides you with all the peace of mind that you would get from a Full Service, but provides even more checks to ensure you vehicle is working at its optimum level. A Major Service covers 71 individual checks and is recommended every 24,000 miles or 24 months.

A Major Service with NSN costs from just £164

What’s included

• Major Service covers 71 checks and in addition to our very comprehensive Full Service it also covers items that should be replaced every 2 years
• In addition to the Full Service, the Spark Plugs are replaced (any long life, platinum or specialist plugs incur an extra charge)
• Brake fluid is also replaced
• Antifreeze coolant is also drained and replaced
• External Fuel Filter is also replaced

How do I get a quote and book my vehicle into a garage?

Simply either call the Call Centre on 0844 277 1398 quoting ‘csma10’ or click on browse website

The Call Centre staff will then:

• Discuss work to be carried out
• Provide a detailed estimate
• Agree a selection of dates that are convenient
• Locate a garage, who will collect and deliver the vehicle if required
• Confirm the booking with garage
• Take your credit card details for payment and preauthorise
• Payment is taken only when the work is complete

Will my vehicle be collected and delivered back to me?

As long as the booking is over £75 then your vehicle can be collected from your place of work or home and delivered back to you. Garages will collect within their local area on average within a 10mile radius or approx 20 minutes from their garage location. Obviously this will vary - shorter distances in cities and towns and further in the countryside due to the traffic conditions. NSN can only provide a courtesy collection & delivery service for vehicles that are roadworthy and drivable, this is not a recovery service for non drivable vehicles.

Wash & Vac

NSN will provide a complementary wash and vacuum for all jobs over £75. The vehicle will be washed externally and the footwell vacuumed. This is not a valet service.

Are NSN cheaper than our local garage?

NSN prices are very competitive and are up to 50%† lower than typical franchise prices. NSN does not guarantee to always be the cheapest, but NSN will only complete work that is actually required. NSN prices reflect the quality of service and the guarantees and backup provided by them.
